- There were two trims available for the 2002 Buick Rendezvous--the CX and CXL. The CXL has amenities the CX doesn't, such as power leather seats, a third row of seating and a rear parking sensor.
- The 2002 Buick Rendezvous was equipped with a 3.4-liter V6 engine and a four-speed automatic transmission. The CX is available with front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. The more desirable all-wheel drive was standard on the CXL.
- The Rendezvous CX has seating for a maximum of five passengers. With seats folded, it has 109 cubic feet of cargo space. The CXL has seating for seven passengers. The fuel tank has a capacity of 18 gallons. The Rendezvous earned EPA fuel economy estimates of 17 miles per gallon in city driving and 24 mpg on the highway.
- Standard features on the Rendezvous included cruise control, anti-lock brakes, keyless entry and a power lift gate. An alarm system, privacy glass and child-safe rear door locks are standard safety features.
